Walking Treadmill Intervals

I have received great feedback about the interval training examples posted in pervious articles. Here is another great interval workout that can be performed on a treadmill with more intensity and less time. Start at your fast walking pace. (Beginner 3mph, Intermediate 3.5mph, Advanced 4mph)

3 min @ 0 incline (warm –up)

1 min @ 1 incline

1 min @ 2 incline

1 min @ 3 incline

1 min @ 4 incline

1 min @ 5 incline

1 min @ 6 incline

1 min @ 7 incline

1 min @ 8 incline

1 min @ 9 incline

1 min @ 10 incline

Once at the top decline “1” incline at each minute until you are back to “0”. You are going in reverse order now. Cool down at the bottom for 2 minutes.

(25 minutes total)
