Get uncomfortable.

The next time you workout make sure you get uncomfortable. Let me explain. Most of us head to the gym in hopes to “change” our body; lose weight, gain muscle, become toned, improve our strength, increase endurance, etc. All too often people go to the gym to nearly kill time. I don’t mean that they have extra time to burn at the gym but they know they need to exercise at least 30 minutes. They show up, kill time, and leave. Hiked up on the elliptical they are as comfortable as the mattresses in the Trump hotels. Just because you spend 30 minutes in the gym doesn’t mean you had a workout that will change your body for the better. When we workout we need to get uncomfortable. We need to force the body to change. In many ways the body defends itself from exercise (especially weight lost). For example the only way we will get stronger is to lift more weight. The only way to improve your endurance is to run longer. If your goal is to lose weight you need to work hard! If you’re comfortable when performing cardio than you won’t lose weight. Why would the body adapt if it’s not asked to? We need to put adequate stress on the body for it change and adapt into what we want it to be. Work hard and change.
