Slow down your eating!
Insulin plays a large role in the storing of fat from meals. Higher blood glucose levels can lead to higher insulin levels (bad thing). A 2008 issue of Preventive Medicine reported that a study observing the rate of which over 3,000 people in Japan ate their food showed that those who ate faster had higher rates of blood glucose and insulin levels than those who ate slower.
You may have already known the “full” feeling the stomach gives off is delayed when notifying the brain. So, relax and enjoy your meal!
