Fat Loss Paradigm and Perception

As I often do, I like to quote 19th century authors……kidding.         But, examine Henry David Thoreau’s quote,

“For every thousand hacking at the leaves of evil, there is one striking at the root.”

The “one” has a different paradigm or perception than the rest hacking at the leaves. This inspires me to relate this to exercise and fat loss. It may be our current perception of the methods to lose fat that are getting in the way of our fat loss. Let us think of the “tree of evil” as the tree of…..fat.

“For every thousand counting calories on the elliptical, there is one training with methods to improve one’s metabolism”

Counting calories and watching them get burned on a cardio machine is merely trimming the leaves of fat while methods of training which boost the metabolism is striking the root.
