After a weight training workout can be the perfecttime to burnbody fat. While we lift weights we use all available energy to power through the workout. After our glycogen and glucose (blood sugar) is used up we have finally reached our point to recruit body fat as fuel!
Follow up weight training sessions with 10-20 minutes of cardio. Try walking on an incline, using the stairmaster, or performing sprint intervals. These 10-20 minute bonus-bouts go a long way are extremely efficient at burning fat.
This is a typical assignment for many of my clients who are looking to shed some extra pounds. The best thing is that it doesn’t take much time! 10 to 20 minutes of cardio….. that’s it!
